LIMINAL

Mentorship for Womxn and Femme Entrepreneurs at Identity Thresholds

You're at an inflection point, standing before a threshold.

Maybe you're about to pivot in a way that rearranges what you've spent years building. Perhaps you're about to sell, expand, or step into a role that didn't exist six months ago. Or maybe your business is humming along fine, but something inside is shifting and you can’t figure out how to support this change.

You might even find yourself reaching for a future version that you can see but can’t quite touch, let alone embody.

This is new territory - you’re smart, resourceful, and successful - and yet you’re struggling in a way that feels new, scary, and extremely vulnerable.

Searching for relief, you might try to optimize your business, take a vacation, or cut back on hours. But the thing that that’s shifting isn't external.

It’s your identity.

Trust me, I get it. And you.

I’m Josie - bruja, writer, entrepreneur, and therapist - and I have an unconventional career path and personal trajectory. I’ve stood at more thresholds than I care to count.

From pivoting away from an established career twice, to building multiple businesses, sometimes at the same time, to scaling them, shutting them down and rebuilding again, I know intimately the thrilling, yet disorienting experience of standing between a new identity and an old one.

Each one of these thresholds, when something was dying and being birthed at the same time, asked of me a level of commitment and devotion that felt excruciatingly difficult and exhilarating at once.

I didn’t need a new strategy, more information, or to process something more deeply. I needed someone who understood this nebulous place intimately and, like the guardrails on a wobbly bridge, held my hand until I walked myself to the other side, and to my future self.

There’s a real cost to skipping identity work, or pushing through a threshold without embodiment.

When I first started my business, I achieved a lot of success, and quickly. I’d made more money than any womxn in my lineage. I bought a Tesla, and didn't tell a single person until months after. Not even my closest friends.

The version I was becoming made the purchase, but I was still mostly operating from the version that hadn’t caught up, feeling unsafe in my desires and a paralyzing survivor's guilt rooted in my upbringing. I wrote more about that here.

I felt so stuck and alone - who do you take this to that would understand and could offer what this moment called for?

When I took it to my therapist, she went to processing the wound. And my business coach and mastermind didn’t seem like the right space to hold this experience. Neither was wrong, but neither was the thing I needed.

So I walked myself across the threshold, but it took longer than it needed to, cost more than it should have, and I did it without the support I now have the honor of offering others.

Today, on the other side of this, and having crossed the profound threshold that is midlife, I’m the most embodied and fulfilled I’ve ever been, and the fullest expressed version of myself.

I bring a rare combination - the ability to hold the full picture while someone’s identity is in active reorganization, the spiritual insight to see the threads holding the transformation under the surface, and most importantly, the hard-won lessons from crossing many thresholds myself.

We Stay Close to the Ground

LIMINAL doesn’t have a curriculum because there’s no blueprint for your unique becoming.

Mentorship at the threshold is highly personalized and intimate. It happens in the daily texture of becoming.

It's seeing a pattern you’re inside of, and helping you name what’s happening, sometimes in real time, when you can’t. It’s holding the vision when you’ve temporarily lost sight of it. It’s having someone in your back pocket to walk with you through the spirals, the decisions, and holding you steady in the moments when what's old and comfortable tries to pull you back from what's new and unfamiliar.

Identity rarely shifts in a session.

Instead, it happens in the living, in the day-to-day choice of saying yes to the version that’s waiting on the other side of the threshold. Ancient wisdom tells us that becoming doesn’t happen alone, but rather in community and in the presence of sacred witnessing.

I won’t ever tell you what to do, but I will stand with you as you usher in your next version.

"I knew I needed something, but I also knew it wasn't more therapy or mindset work. I just couldn't name what it was. But when I spoke to Josie, it all clicked. She caught things I would've missed entirely, and helped me fine-tune my awareness so I could catch the subtle ways I would sabotage the path to my next version. The spiritual dimension was something I didn’t even know I needed on this journey. Josie's insight was uncanny. She knew exactly what to say and exactly when to say it. I met my Highest Self for the first time, and I still can’t explain how life-changing that’s been, both personally and professionally.”

Somatic & Spiritual

A big part of this work lives in your body.

Your nervous system was built for the version of you that got you here, and it will fight to keep you there. The body has to lovingly be brought along. We use breathwork and somatic practices to create a home that fits your new identity.

We also work with what's moving beneath the surface. Astrology, tarot, spiritual downloads, and ritual are woven throughout, to support your mind, body and spirit.

They reveal what’s written in the stars, what your conscious mind hasn't caught up to yet, and what's being asked of you ancestrally.

This work happens on both sides of the veil. It has to.

Abundance really is your birthright.

I believe deeply in entrepreneurship.

I think it’s one of the most important levers for our personal and collective liberation. But it’s also one of the most challenging creative endeavors you’ll ever embark on.

And the hardest part isn't even strategic or operational.

It's becoming the person the business needs you to be, over and over again. When you do that, the business becomes more than a business, and becomes your legacy.

But part of that process requires you to build the capacity to hold everything that’s on the other side of this threshold, and be a good steward of it.

Let’s get to work.
