My name is Josie, and I’m a writer, licensed therapist, and a descendant of healers in the 21 Divisiones tradition from the Dominican Republic. Astrology and tarot are divination tools that are central to how I understand the world, and help facilitate transformation for others.

When you sit with me, I’m not just reading planets, signs, or cards.

My Philosophy on Astrology + Tarot

Astrology and tarot are tools for personal and collective liberation.

As such, readings move the needle when they're tied to something real: a decision, a season, or a question you're holding. A chart or a card pull on its own is just information, but read against your actual life, it becomes something you can act on.

That kind of contextual relationship with these tools also makes something else possible: using them before things break, not just after.

Historically, this work has lived in crisis, but I'm more interested in what it looks like to stay resourced on purpose, so that crisis isn't the only reason you show up.

This offering is comprehensive and in-depth, blending astrology and tarot for a deep dive into your wiring and becoming.
Your natal chart shows the structure of how you're built and where and how your soul can grow. Tarot shows what's alive inside that structure right now.
When appropriate, you’ll receive a personalized ritual to support you on your path. Sessions run on Spirit’s time, but usually last between 75-90 min.
Note that I read astrology through an evolutionary lens.

A consulta is the kind of divination reading generations before us got in apartments and botánicas, based on word-of-mouth referrals. Like our mothers and grandmothers, sometimes you just need to know what's going on.
You bring a situation and the cards serve as a medium between us in the Earth realm, and our benevolent Ancestors and guides in the Spirit realm. It’s a look at what's true for you right now, in the thing you're facing.

Do I need my exact birth time for an AstroTarot reading?

Yes. Your birth chart is calculated from the exact moment you arrived, and even a small error in birth time can shift key placements. If you’re unable to access your exact birth time, I won’t be able to read your chart. It might be worth sourcing someone who does chart rectification.

What’s the difference between a Consulta and an AstroTarot Reading?

A Consulta is quick and situational - you bring something specific, and the cards speak to that moment. AstroTarot is the fuller work: your chart and the cards read together, in the context of what's actually happening in your life right now. If you're not sure which you need, AstroTarot is almost always the richer, more complete experience.

Can I ask if someone is my person?

No. I don't do love readings in the sense of confirming a specific person's role in your life or predicting a relationship's outcome. What I can offer is insight into your own patterns, wiring, and what's true for you, which often illuminates the relationship question far better than a yes-or-no ever could.

What do I receive afterwards?

Every reading, whether virtual or in person, includes an audio recording of our session, sent within 48 hours. AstroTarot also includes a written PDF of your chart based on our discussion. When appropriate, you'll also receive a personalized ritual to support you moving forward.
