Community Is Relational, Not Transactional

Everywhere you turn, people are clamoring for community, wanting connection in an increasingly disconnected world. But what's emerged are pay-to-play spaces where you pay for access to networks and people. That's not community, that's a transaction. Today's longing for community is real, but we're missing the relational skills to build it. The new paradigm requires both the warmth of traditional togetherness and the emotional awareness many of us are just learning. We need the tools to actually build what we're dreaming of.
