Fueled by her commitment for social impact and deep gratitude for the abundance of educational opportunities she received, Josie began her career as a policy analyst for the NYC Department of Education and later joined Teach for America as a teacher. What she thought would be a brief stint in the education space turned out to be a decade-long career that included teaching, coaching, curriculum development, and management.

With an established and impressive career under her belt, and committed to living in alignment with her values, Josie courageously pivoted her career to mental health - the thread that weaves together her passion, life’s purpose, and the most impactful personal and professional experiences she’s had - and became a licensed therapist. She quickly discovered her love and knack for relationships and lineage work, and became a certified couples and family therapist.

After serving as a therapist for years, and witnessing first-hand the harm and violence perpetuated by the mental health field towards practitioners and participants alike, she decided to divest from the medical-industrial complex and release her therapy license. She uses her extensive training and experience to support others in the spirit of sacred service and in integrity with her values.

In addition to her 1:1 offerings and mentorship, Josie creates content via her podcast and newsletter, and is a speaker and facilitator for organizations and companies.
